Strategic Development Manager

Vation Ventures is seeking a Strategic Development Manager to join our growing team! Vation provides members and clients with the tools and services that drive innovation across the technology ecosystem, resulting in faster time-to-market and improved profitability. Vation connects the ecosystem and enables success at scale with its online platform (VIP), consultative services, and networking events. We are actively growing our Innovation Advisory Councils and Innovation Partner Advisory Councils to create and build a strong, trusted community of IT Executives and Partners. The Strategic Development Manager will be responsible for selling presentation opportunities to emerging technology companies at all of our Councils across the U.S. and around the world. We are looking for a self-starting, talented and vibrant individual with the ability to create long-lasting relationships and have the desire and drive to thrive and grow with our rapidly expanding company.

What You’ll Do

  • Sell Vation’s products and services to innovative technology companies.
  • Engage with emerging technology companies to showcase their products and services to prospective IT Executives.
  • Deliver extraordinary value to customers by giving them access to the Vation ecosystem and platform.
  • Drive improvements to Vation products and services by bringing back fresh ideas and customer feedback about how to deliver even greater value to our customers.
  • Be an impactful player on a high-performing team.
  • Utilize sales prospecting tools to drive and generate new business opportunities through cold outreach.
  • Maintain aggressive sales activity to build and deliver on a strong pipeline.
  • Learn and maintain in-depth knowledge of Vation’s platform, services, industry trends, and the competitive landscape.

Qualifications

  • You have the personal drive and commitment to do what is necessary to ensure the success of not only yourself but also our business and customers.
  • You take a humble approach to self-development and growth, and have a proven work ethic and self-starter approach.
  • You have 2+ years in technology B2B sales.
  • You have a proven track record of success with meeting or exceeding quarterly sales goals.
  • You have professional C-level presentation and communications skills.
  • You have strong networking and relationship selling experience and pipeline management.
  • You are self-organized and have a good balance of independence and collaboration.
  • You are outgoing, team-oriented and personable. You know how to roll up your sleeves and get scrappy. You are focused, passionate, and aggressive about exceeding your plan.
