BJ Vander Linden became Chief Information Officer of Larry H. Miller Management Company (MMC) in November 2019. In his newly created role, BJ is responsible for supporting the wide ranging businesses and their desired business outcomes within the LHM Group of companies. This portfolio includes a group of automobile dealerships (LHM Dealerships), an automobile lending practice (Prestige Financial), and a sports and entertainment group (LHMSE).
Prior to being promoted to this role, BJ spent the last 3.5 years as the CIO for LHMSE. He was responsible for the information technology for the sports and entertainment properties for Larry H. Miller Sports & Entertainment, including the Utah Jazz, Vivint Smart Home Arena and NBA G-League Salt Lake City Stars affiliate, along with Megaplex Theaters, Jazz Gaming, The Zone radio and the Tour of Utah..
Prior to joining LHMSE, BJ served as vice president of business systems for OC Tanner (2014-16), an organization that helps external companies create employee reward programs to recognize outstanding work. His key responsibility was to manage the IT infrastructure, including databases, servers, business systems, CRM solutions and other pertinent technology.
He also previously worked at Western Governors University as IT senior program manager (2013-14), at ADP AdvancedMD as Director of Implementation services (2012-13) and at O’Currance, Inc. as Vice President of support services.
BJ brings extensive knowledge in the information technology field, focusing on innovative business solutions, business intelligence, analytics and data systems, customer engagement technologies, and creating new and innovative solutions to enable business outcomes.
He graduated from the University of Utah with a Bachelor of Science degree in economics and an MBA degree from Utah State University. He and his wife have three teenage boys who are involved in all sorts of sports activities. When he’s not in the office, he’s off at a field, court or diamond somewhere. BJ enjoys spending time with his family and learning about new technologies.
