Diane Tryneski is a global digital technology executive with 30+ years of experience in the media & entertainment business.

As a member of the executive team, she provides oversight and advice on leveraging emerging technologies to drive business strategy, operations, production, and distribution in public and private companies. An advocate of change and diversity, she addresses challenges with honesty, transparency, and directness to influence “best” organization outcomes.

Diane has held senior corporate leadership positions at HBO, Disney-ABC, Discovery and Public Broadcasting Station WNET. She has developed next generation strategies, built exceptional global teams and delivered on many industry “firsts.”

Diane was with HBO for a decade, most recently as their Executive Vice President of Technology and Chief Digital Officer. In this role, she led the business transformation from a primarily broadcast operation to a trans-media organization by introducing a digital production pipeline and media supply chain enabling the company to quickly enter new lines of business. She led the technology and product team that successfully launched the company’s first OTT/direct-to-consumer streaming product, HBO NOW.

Previously at The Walt Disney Company, Diane held executive positions in business management, operations, and technology. As Senior Vice President of Television Operations for the Disney-ABC Television Group, she drove innovation across multiple functional areas in the company and was an executive member of key ABC-Disney cross-organization executive committees, including ABC Media Networks Environmental Council, Career & Management Development Committee, Ad Summit Operations Task Force, Mentor Program, and Crisis Management Team.

As Executive Vice President of Discovery Production Group, Diane established and led Discovery Productions, LLC. The group was founded to reduce reliance on externally produced programming. The initiative increased the number of wholly owned programming hours from single digits to over 100 hours in 2 years.
Diane serves on the Emma Bowen Foundation’s National Advisory Council as a member of the Technology & Innovation Committee. She is a mentor for the Entrepreneurial Roundtable Accelerator (ERA) and consults as an industry advisor.

Diane is a member of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences and New York Women in Film and Television. A long-time champion of digital strategy, she has been recognized with multiple leadership awards.

Diane earned her B.A. in journalism and communications from Rutgers University.
