Nadia Hansen is an experienced CIO, board member, and recognized government leader who brings two decades of enterprise technology experience building a wide range of products, teams, and operations around the world across both public and private entities. As a board member, she helps social impact organizations and highly regulated companies modernize digital initiatives to meet the needs of stakeholders. Nadia’s expertise enables her to effectively serve on risk, audit, digital transformation, cybersecurity and DEI committees.
Nadia’s success stems from her ability to identify stakeholder expectations and transform product and service levers to optimize outcomes that increase loyalty and revenue for organizations. This includes modernizing product and service experiences through digitization, sustainability, privacy and security, frictionless access and brand recognition initiatives. She is known as a mentor and motivator, leading large, cross-functional teams and influencing board and senior-level management effectively across the organization.
As Chief Information Officer for Clark County, the largest county in the State of Nevada with more than over 2.4 million residents, 45 million annual visitors and an $8 billion budget, Nadia spearheads the technology innovation, strategy and delivers mission-critical services for the organization. She has established Clark County as an innovation and technology hub for startups and budding businesses, and is a key driver in engaging regional technology partners. Nadia created a first-ever technology strategic plan for the county with public-facing commitments, including the vision and mission for a unified customer experience 5 years out. She outlined strategy and created a roadmap for improving public accessibility through omni-channels – website, email, phone and mobile – as well as to bridge the digital divide.
Previously, as President & Founder of an IT consulting company Result Logix, Nadia drove large, complex initiatives from end-to-end for leading private businesses, governments and non-profit organizations. She was engaged as a subject matter expert for the City of Seattle and the Seattle Police Department, providing ongoing monthly risk and quality management audits as part of a major Records Management System technology replacement project. Nadia also served as Director of Business Intelligence Services for VizExplorer, a provider of analytics, data and operational intelligence solutions to casino gaming, health care and sports entertainment industries. She established a global product and service delivery organization, developing an IT strategic plan and multi-year roadmap that translated strategic vision into actionable goals and established a customer success program that increased ROI by 20%.
Nadia was appointed by Governor Steve Sisolak to the State of Nevada Technology Board to advise on strategic planning, budget appropriation and cybersecurity for the state. She serves as Advisory Board Member for multiple non-profits, including Nevada Technology Association, Nevada Digital Government Summit and Nevada IT Symposium. In addition, she is a member of and presents to the Clark County Audit and HIPAA Committees. Nadia was recognized among a select group of “Women of Distinction” in technology in 2019, selected among hundreds of candidates for leading successful cloud transformations.
Nadia holds an Executive MBA from the University of California, Los Angeles and a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Nevada Las Vegas. Nadia and her husband, Kevin Hansen, have two children, a golden doodle and live in Las Vegas, NV.
